About the Chamber

The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau promotes local businesses and our community. We provide benefits and resources to support member businesses for a strong community and regional economy, civic, cultural and educational climate.

The San Benito County Chamber and Visitors Bureau invites you to explore our unique corner of the world. Formed in 1921 with 253 members paying dues of $1 per month, the San Benito County Chamber and Visitors Bureau represents local retailers, restaurants, service providers, agricultural companies, individuals and non-profits. The Chamber advocates for local businesses, supports major events and provides a forum for local businesses to network, grow and prosper.

San Benito County is located 30 minutes north east from the Monterey peninsula and 45 minutes south east from the southern tip of the Silicon Valley. San Benito County is the (east) gateway to Pinnacles National Park the newest National Park.

We support member businesses in a variety of ways. We provide information about our member businesses to residents and visitors to our county by distributing 20,000 visitors guides through-out the region. Tourism efforts including visitor bags filled with information about local businesses, events, and discount offers. We also provide business services, such as use of our bulk mailing permit and certificate of origin stamps.

We host many events within Community and a variety of member-focused events such as Lunch with Leaders, monthly Business after Hours, and educational seminars. For a more complete look at Chamber Programs and Events, please click here.

For non-businesspeople the Chamber also provides services & support. We maintain a San Benito County Events Calendar, so community members can find things to do in our county. We also have a business directory and provide referrals to local member businesses who are in good standing with the Chamber. Community members and visitors can stop by the office to pick-up information on local restaurants, lodging, shopping and other local destinations.
